Wifi enabled imaging platform

PRODUCT OF LWERA ELECTRONICS AND SEMICONDUCTORS

A WiFi-enabled imaging platform built on the ESP32-P4, capable of capturing and processing up to 4K 30fps video for streaming, facial recognition, and edge computer-vision tasks. It works with any MIPI CSI-2 sensor (IMX and others), with the high-speed camera interface routed as length-tuned, impedance-controlled differential pairs to keep the signal clean at D-PHY speeds. Raw sensor data is converted to JPEG on-chip, with heavier image scaling offloaded to dedicated hardware to preserve frame quality under load.

This is one of my most successful designs. It's built on an 8-layer controlled-impedance stackup carrying critical high-speed signals, a 2.4 GHz antenna, MIPI CSI-2, and USB FS, and it worked on the first spin, with a two-month design timeline.

The platform currently powers two products in development at Lwera Electronics and Semiconductors: a Wi-Fi security camera and a Wi-Fi-enabled in-vehicle facial recognition system.
